A year has gone by…

Good Morning all you cruisers, dreamers, and liveaboards!!

It has been over a year since we put Always Home up for sale.  What have we done during this time?  The normal everyday living.  Chores.  Errands.  Watching the world around us.

Buildings getting taller:  There has been a sign out for the last 9 months with the same tag line:  Only 3 condos left to buy.  I wonder if it is the same 3 condos?!  They poured a floor each month.  Now to the more tasking projects of filling the insides with plumbing, electrical, and whatnot.  We don’t get to see much of that.

We watched buildings get built:  So the building on your left has topped out.  There is a hotel being building behind the middle glassy building.  Cinder block construction!  We have watched the floors being filled in.  Sarasota is growing taller and taller!

Sarasota has a Boat Show every spring.  This little one was quite interesting.  5 motors?!  Who needs that kind of power?  For fishing?  No price tag.  If you have to ask, you can’t afford it!  Right?

The local wild life:

Our shy Night Heron.  And his pals on boat lines waiting for small fish / minnows to drift by.

Guests waiting for breakfast at the Marina’s restaurant:

Cat Fish cruising the docks?

Visiting Osprey

I am often afraid to look up at the osprey sitting so gloriously on the top of the masts.

Splat on the dock!! Don’t look up!

Although, there is a kind of symmetry about this splat.  I bet if I submitted this as a piece of art I could win!

We are often easily amused by shiny stuff:

Shiny bubbles!

Thus, our year waiting for our boat to sell has been filled with exciting times (storms) and great looking sunsets.

We have reduced the price on Always Home again.

1988 47’ DeFever Performance Offshore Cruiser – ALWAYS HOME – Reduced Price!! – US $149,500 – Family says it is time to get back to land.  They want us homeward bound. We have reduced the price to make their wishes come true.

A 47′ DeFever with a large enclosed sundeck and huge flybridge and galley up layout. Always Home is a well equipped, very comfortable liveaboard yacht and this one is turn-key.  http://www.curtisstokes.net/trawer-for-sale-defever47-always-home.html

And I am considering a tattoo.

I don’t know about you but on me that tattoo would be a very saggy eye! Don’t forget you had wonderful visitors (or at least one – me) during that year! Almost exactly a year ago I was sweating it out in humid Florida!
